What is the TRMS Tech Bytes?

The TRMS Tech Bytes is a professional development opportunity for teachers at Taylor Road Middle School. The TRMS Tech Bytes will offer instruction and help with digital resources, iPad and APP training, equipment training, and web applications that are useful to teachers.

In this session we discussed how to locate both print and digital resources in the TRMS Destiny Card Catalog and how to use Padlet in the classroom. Padlet Quick Tips

  • Modify Wall is to change privacy, change background, add picture, files, upload videos, change wallpaper, or URLs (basically anything else
  • Click on the gear button to modify your wall
  • Wallpaper- background can be one of many they have selected or upload a saved picture of your own
  • Click anywhere on the wall to create new boxes
  • You can put text, pictures, URLs, files, or videos in the boxes
  • You can add as many boxes as needed
  • Automatically saves when you have an account
  • You can make your wall public, private, or only share with certain people
  • Can choose freeform or streamlined layout
  • Help button

Destiny Quick Tips

  • Log in with FCS username and password
  • Click on catalog to search
  • Search yeilds books, websites, and one search (most FCS databases) all in one search
